Food Bank/Casual Dress Monday - On Monday, February 11th we will welcome our next food bank/casual dress day of the 2018-2019 school year. For our new families, our food bank day is to support the St. John Food Cupboard. As a reminder, we have set a goal this year to collect 8,500 pounds of food throughout the school year. These donations will help many families who are in need in our surrounding community. As you are shopping this weekend, these are the items that the food cupboard is in most need of:
- white rice
- juice & canned fruit
- plain pasta, pasta sauce, ramen noodles
- tuna fish
- canned vegetables (we are well stocked on green beans)
- snacks, crackers
- paper products (Kleenex, paper towel, and toilet paper)
- personal needs items (toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc)
We thank you in advance for your generosity and the support you are offering to the greater East Lansing Community.
Wish List Supply Drive Update - Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Classroom Supply Drive! If you are interested in contributing, please drop off your check made to STA (write Supplies/Teachers name) on notes of check, and drop off to Marilyn. At this time our wonderful parents have covered $2605.00 of the wishlist requests from Tuesday night!
At this time, to fulfill all of the teachers supply requests, we are asking for 80 families to give $100.00. If you are looking for a specific teacher to donate to, click the link above to see the outstanding amount per classroom. If you do not see your teachers name, it is because they did not submit a wishlist.
**** We are NOT looking for families to purchase supplies!! We are just accepting cash/check donations or Amazon/Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. This serves two purposes- 1) Tax Write-Off for your family and 2) Tax-Exempt purchases for the teacher. Thank you!!!***

Lansing Catholic Cougar Lacrosse -
For the last three weeks I have been teaching the basics of boys and girls lacrosse in Mr. Boldman's physical education classes. This is the third year that I have done this and each year more and more kids from St. Thomas have joined our Cougars/Warriors lacrosse program! It is so much fun to see the kids learn and play a new game!
My goal is twofold. First I want to grow the game of lacrosse that I have been involved with for more than 50 years. Lacrosse is an action packed, exciting, free flowing game. I want to grow the Cougars lacrosse program to be one of the best in Michigan. In order to achieve this goal, our program needs more players from St. Thomas!
If your child is interested in trying lacrosse this coming spring, please join me at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 5th in the Lansing Catholic High School Cafeteria to learn more about the game and how our program works. This will be about a 45 minute meeting giving you more information about the game and how you can go about getting your children involved. We offer teams for boys and girls at the 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 level. We have openings for players on all teams. Please bring your son or daughter with you that night if you wish!
See you on Feb. 5th at 6:30 pm!
